For the project “IQ – Information Center for Immigration of Skilled Workers” based in Frankfurt (Oder) we are looking for a project member for the next possible date.

The IQ – Information Center for Immigration of Skilled Workers is a sub-project of the IQ Network within the Brandenburg State Network (www.brandenburg.netzwerk-iq.de). The support program “Integration through Qualification (IQ)” aims to support people with migration and flight history on their way into the job market. The project aims at advising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as qualified international skilled workers and supports them in all questions concerning the recruitment and sustainable retention of skilled workers in the region of South and East Brandenburg, especially in the context of the new law on skilled worker immigration. Exemplary topics of the consulting are: access to the labor market, German at the workplace, culturally sensitive induction and organizational development processes. In addition, the project aims to network the labor market actors in the regions and to inform them about current issues of skilled worker immigration.

Working hours per week: 40h

Contract duration: from now until 31.12.2022

  • Personal and telephone consulting and support for companies, municipal enterprises, chambers of commerce and industry Labor market players (domestic and foreign) in processes of sustainable integration of qualified skilled workers with a history of migration and flight
  • Personal and telephone advice from qualified international experts
  • Networking of labor market actors (domestic & foreign) for improved labor market integration of qualified specialists
  • Reference advice on the services of the IQ Network and other relevant actors
  • Development of cooperation partner networks of labor market players and other business-related players in Brandenburg
  • Participation and moderation of project-related events
  • Internal (IQ) and external networking, active participation in committees

What we expect from you:

  • completed university education or comparable training
  • sound knowledge and experience in the field of immigration of skilled workers and its practical implementation
  • sound knowledge in the area of access to the labour market/labour market integration of persons with a history of migration and flight
  • Experience in the conception and implementation of intercultural educational measures
  • Training as an intercultural trainer or diversity trainer is advantageous
  • Experience in project management
  • High level of intercultural competence and identification with the target group (companies) and the situation of people with a migration background
  • very good knowledge of English, additional languages an advantage
  • goal- and success-oriented thinking and acting, team spirit
  • Independent work
  • secure handling of the common MS-Office applications
  • Driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Brandenburg

skillook takes the job search to a new level and offers companies the direct search for suitable employees and an alternative to job advertisements through its key-lock principle. skillook offers candidates an opportunity to present themselves with their existing skills. The skillook software simplifies the process of job and employee searches worldwide by focusing on the skills required to create a “perfect match”. This saves time, money and nerves of recruiting companies and searching candidates.

In order to launch skillook software on the market, a media-compatible strategy is required, adapted to the two target groups.

Working hours: max. 20h/week

Contract duration: for one year from recruitment (the position is based on the ILB’s Brandenburg Innovation Experts Promotion Program)

Gross-Salary: 940€ (for 20h/week)

What we expect from you:

  • In full-time studies: either Business Administration/VWL with focus on marketing or communication or comparable contents
  • fluent English (in word/writing), as many of the marketing activities take place in non-German speaking countries
  • Great affinity and experience in dealing with social media
  • High social competence and good communication skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic and coordination skills
  • A high level of personal initiative, the ability and willingness to learn are a basic requirement
